We regard ourselves not as a group of individual scientists and technologists, but as a team of highly experienced experts, collectively able to provide solutions to real life business problems and issues.
When I set up MSL in 1999 I wanted to create a company that had customer service at its centre and we’ve never deviated from that aim. The needs and demands of our industry are constantly changing and as MSL has expanded and we’ve added new testing & compliance services and facilities, it has never been at the expense of our core values and that’s why many of the customers we had in the early years are still with us now. My role is to ensure that we don’t just meet our customer’s needs and expectations, but we exceed them wherever possible, both now and in the future.
After leaving Durham University I joined an FTSE company before setting up my own business in the early 1980s. I sold out twenty years later and subsequently met Angela Davies whilst working for a cosmetics and toiletries business. I was so impressed by Angela’s vision I joined MSL full time in 2011 and am now the company’s Operations Director. I have a special interest in the Compliance side of our business as well as Export sales, both areas that have enjoyed rapid growth over the last couple of years. The future is in our own hands which makes it particularly exciting.
